Growing up, our founder was introduced to the German Shepherd breed, and his fascination with them grew from there. His first purchase of a female German Shepherd from a local “Back Yard Breeder” was met with disappointment as he noticed behavioral faults and genetic issues early on. After extensive research on the breed and multiple visits to some of the top Kennels in the USA and Germany, he realized the immense difference in breeding requirements and pedigrees between local breeders and top producers. Essential traits like anatomy, working abilities, and temperament are crucial in a dog.

At Aldamar German Shepherds, we pride ourselves on breeding only the highest quality German lines with all these key traits. Our breeding dogs are required to have elbow and hip certifications before breeding, and we are active enthusiasts in the Schutzhund sport, which truly tests a dog’s mental and physical abilities. Our dogs are family companions, living in our home with our children and participating in all aspects of daily life. They are not kennel dogs, which is vital information when purchasing puppies. Puppies with well-socialized parents will also have a positive impact on their temperament.
